8/365 - Home cookin'
My favorite meal is my Dad's steak & my Mom's mashed potatoes. I guess I am just one of those girls who would "rather have steak than pie" (although I have a major sweet tooth). Today after church we had steak, mashed potatoes, & green beans. It was so good that I was humming a little tune during lunch! Later on in the day, Matt & I went to spend the evening with Mom & Mike. They were making homemade chicken & dumplings for dinner, a favorite of Grandma Kate. It was yummy and Matt was excited to see his Mom make the dumplings he watched her make growing up. Needless to say, we felt fat & happy when the day was over!
